Bees are a vital pollinator
Did you know that in addition to making delicious honey, bees play a vital role in crop pollination and contribute towards the production of around 97% of the food we eat? But each year about a third of our honeybee colonies collapse. The European Union recently banned bee-killing pesticides from all fields to protect both wild bees and honeybees. Pesticides are thought to be a major contributor to colony collapse so this is a great step forward! You can help bees by leaving water out for them in summer and planting bee friendly flowers!
