Wooden card stand
Light and Dark

$8.50

We made these to display the beautiful illustrations on the cards in our popular decks (but you could use them for your own photos too). They’re wonderful for bedrooms, living spaces, bathrooms, classrooms, shelving, activity rooms and anywhere else you, or the kids, would find a little joy in them.

They are handcrafted by us using local wood from a partner who salvages timber or sources it from Indigenous groups who are removing invasive tree species to the area. This wood is air-dried and then we take it in raw form to craft it into the blocks for your cards. We polish it with 100% pure Linseed oil. Wood grain varies so each frame is completely unique to you.

We have two colors available – a stunning light wood and a beautiful dark. Each of these match our frames so your space can look consistent (but we think they make for a great mix too!).

Shipping & Packaging

Our wooden block stands will be packed to you in either compostable tissue paper or wrapped in brown paper. They will be shipped to you in a box or home compostable satchel depending on your order.

We ummed-and-ahhed about printing beautiful boxes for these to display them in but the moment you get them, that would likely be thrown away, so we’re keeping it simple and minimal.

Sustainability

Our wood is not new wood – it is salvaged or supporting the removal of invasive / alien species. We do not use any chemicals and our wood is polished by us with 100% pure linseed oil. At end of life these will compost at home. We make these stands using equipment that is part of the sharing economy so that everybody doesn’t need to have their own big homes, garages and brand new machinery.

Ethics

Our partner who sources this wood lives happily in nature doing what he loves. An Indigenous tribe to the area has blessed the wood in a smoke ceremony. We handcraft this ourselves into the blocks you see here and we’re so honored to be sitting in your lovely space.

Impact

50% of our profits are donated to our work in Cambodia and across the world (you can check out our impact here). Purchasing our timber products also supports two jobs directly in the making of this item. Our maker also receives an additional 20% of each item as a lot of heart and hands are poured into this.

Gift this

Would you like to send this to a friend, colleague or family member? Just add their shipping address at checkout and leave a little gift message. We’ll wrap it up prettily and send it through to them with your thoughts. If this is part of a little bundle we’ll ensure it all arrives beautifully together.

Unique pieces

Wood grain varies per tree and each piece of timber we lovingly craft. Your piece may be a very slightly different color and will have a unique pattern that looks similar to this. We’d love to see these pieces in your space – please send us your photos!

Product specifications

The blocks are 11cm (4.33 inches) long and the cards in our deck slip perfectly in them.

Business costs include most of the other expenses to get this product to you. That includes staff salaries and social justice consultants, studio rent, a little marketing, production samples, paying for accountants, software, website upkeep, and a whole lot more. Why only most? Our time in designing these isn't accounted for nor additional shipping expenses we need to absorb and other costs that crop up constantly. Business life! The difference between the cost here and the product price is so that small retail outlets can also sell our products. All figures are USD.
